(St. George’s, Grenada) 6th July 2017—Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean is gearing up for the next winter season with innovative products to inspire and delight first time and repeat visitors. The three‐island destination of Grenada Carriacou and Petite Martinique is alive with a number of new tours that offer a choice of lively, relaxed, delicious and sensual experiences.
The new ‘Savor the Spice’ tour introduces our spices and culinary delights to the visitor. ‘Savor the Spice’ offers four (4) authentic tours, in which one can either savor the best food in the city, sip and enjoy our local beverages, travel the countryside and expand one’s palate or have a private session to learn and participate in the preparation of a traditional three-course authentic Grenadian meal.
Another new soft adventure tour is the Grenada High Wire Challenge, a canopy obstacle course set in our mystic rain forest. To cool down afterwards, you can take a plunge in the refreshing Seven Sister’s waterfall to complete this eco escape.
Pure Grenada offers over ten hiking trails where one can explore the flora, fauna and lush vegetation of the island. The new Hidden Treasure Tours offers hikes to discover some of our well-kept natural secrets along Pure Grenada’s stunning northern terrain. Inspired from a television series these tours aim to continue the legacy of our renowned Grenadian hiker Telfor Bedeau. The tours cater to various endurance levels and take visitors to hidden waterfalls and breathtaking ridges.
The tropical paradise of Pure Grenada continues to offer so much more than just sun, sea and sand. Our gardens, our farms, our waterfalls, our hiking trails, our heritage, our festivals, our cuisine and our spices are pure and authentic. Packaged attractively for our visitors, these natural resources provide a wide array of choices that enhance Grenada’s tourism offerings.
Product Development Manager at the Grenada Tourism Authority, Kirl Grant-Hoschtialek said, “The GTA encourages local entrepreneurship to create memorable experiences for our visitors and locals utilizing our natural and man-made assets to offer quality horticultural, historical, land or water based activities. We know that visitors today want to experience, explore, connect with locals and there is no better way than taking a tour with a local guide, taxi or tour operator to learn about our lifestyle and the people.” She added that the GTA is happy to support new project ideas through information sharing, licensing and promotion through our digital platforms.
