ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – August 14, 2019 – Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation, Hon. Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwen hosted a special appreciation dinner in celebration of the Grenada Chelsea Flower Show Team’s recent achievement. At this year’s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show, Team Grenada was awarded a 15th gold medal for their stunning exhibit “A Carnival of Exotic Tropical Blooms”. During the dinner on Tuesday August 6 at the Aquarium Restaurant, Minister Modeste-Curwen heard from the team’s lead designer Mrs. Catherine John that preparations for the show start from August of the previous year and it is a huge team effort by Grenadians both on island and in England.
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – July 23, 2019 – It was a night of glitz and glamour as the tourism stakeholders exemplifying service excellence and innovation were awarded. The 2019 Tourism Awards 2019 took place at the Spice Island Beach Resort on Thursday July 18 under the theme, ‘Celebrating Successes, Looking to a Bright and Sustainable Future.’ The initiative was conceptualized to celebrate the industry’s success by recognizing tourism businesses and stakeholders make significant contributions. The awards criteria included, “length of service, quality of service, feedback (online or otherwise), unique selling propositions, innovative business aspects and other contributions to the sector.

GEORGE’S, GRENADA – June 26, 2019 – After not participating in the Taste of the Caribbean competition for over a decade, the new youthful, vibrant Grenada Culinary Team walked away with third place honours in Miami. The team led by Chef Belinda Bishop wowed the judges with creative spice infused dishes and medalled in all categories.

GEORGE’S, GRENADA – June 11, 2019 – Caribbean Week in New York, hosted by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), proved to be a successful endeavor for the promotion of Grenada’s tourism product. Grenada’s delegation was led by Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), Mrs. Brenda Hood, Ms. Patricia Maher, CEO of the GTA and Director of Sales (USA), Mrs. Christine Noel-Horsford. ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – May 9, 2019 – Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hon. Clarice Modeste Curwen has announced that American Airlines will provide a new non-stop service from Charlotte, North Carolina to Grenada effective Winter 2019.
American Airlines advised that the flight will be operated year-round, Saturdays on a 128-seat Airbus 319.
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – April 15, 2019 – World-renowned sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor has been specially recognized by the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) for his outstanding work in creating the World’s first Underwater Sculpture Park in the island. Between 2006 and 2009, Taylor founded the Park in Grenada which was listed as one of the Top 25 Wonders of the World by National Geographic. His concrete sculptures based on people, history and folklore eventually become alive by supporting the sustainable growth of the colorful reefs in Molinere Bay.
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – April 11, 2019 – Participants in the Government of Grenada’s Small Hotel’s Training Programme are eager to improve the visitor experience in Carriacou and Petite Martinique after receiving their certificates on Monday. A short ceremony was held at the Carriacou Multipurpose Centre to recognize the completion of training in Customer Service Excellence and Supervisory Management.
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – April 3, 2019 – Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean was delighted to welcome an increased number of yachts in the World ARC Atlantic Rally for Cruisers Round the World race 2018-2019. 17 boats were welcomed this year, an increase over the 14 welcomed last year. World ARC is a round-the-world adventure taking place over 15 months and covering 26,000 nautical miles. The event features a mix of cruising and exploring the world.
